What is ANTI-SEMITISM, or Jew-hatred?

Put simply, Anti-semitism is hate, prejudice, or bias against Jewish people.

According to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance or IHRA, "Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities."

What makes anti-Semitism different from "hate"

“In the end, the antisemite’s claim is not that all Jews are evil, but rather that all evil is Jewish.”

-Dr. David Patterson, Hillel A. Feinberg Distinguished Chair in Holocaust Studies, University of Texas at Dallas

"Not just an emotion or aversion but actually a moral philosophy that states that Jews are a malevolent force that stands in the way of the world becoming the better place that it can be."
-Dr. Jonah Cohen, CAMERA webinar, How to Respond to Antisemitic Rhetoric in Social and Professional Situations, 12/20/2021
